Thunderstorms and Strong Winds Possible in Country

Kathmandu: Currently, light rain is occurring in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while scattered moderate showers are affecting the entire country.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reports that Nepal is experiencing the partial impact of a depression around Jharkhand and the influence of monsoon air.
Throughout the day, certain regions in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to receive light to moderate rain, with a few areas in Lumbini and Madhes provinces also experiencing showers.
Furthermore, there is a likelihood of heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two locations within Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
Residents of the Terai region in Koshi province and a few areas in Madhes province should be aware of the potential for strong winds.
